OAKES, MRS. T.M. (LYNN)

A retired East Baton Rouge Parish school teacher and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997, at her residence. She was 91 and a native of Natchitoches.

Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. Brad Curry. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by a niece, Gayle Jones Fisher, DeQuincy; four great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Jack Oakes; and a brother, Talfourd Jones.

Pallbearers will be Bobbie Crump, Forest Crump, Ben Crump, Jim Fisher, Richard Fisher, Nolan Fisher and Mike Haggard.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, past president of Women's Missionary Union, choir member and Sunday school teacher, member of P.E.O. Chapter Z and Woman and Music Club.
