Mack William Dampier

Funeral services for Mack William Dampier, 82, a retired taxi driver in Wisner, were held Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Wisner with Rev. Milton Williams and Rev. Oakley Edwards officiating.

Burial was in the Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of the First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

He died Saturday at the Columbia Hospital.

Survivors include two sons, Virgil and Cecil Dampier of Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Easterling of Winnsboro and Mrs. Bill Carroll of Wisner; two brothers, Luchous [sic Lucious] Dampier of Swartz and K. G. Dampier of Wisner; a sister, Mrs. Susie Thomason of Wisner; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jessie Mack Collins, Carey Lynn Collins, Phillip Dampier, Jerry Dampier, Mickey Carroll and Donnie Dampier.
