CLINTON -- Miss Madge Purvis, 78, died Thursday in Care Inn Nursing Home. Services are 2 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
The Smith County native had lived in Jackson since 1926. She graduated from Florence High School and Draughon's Business College. She retired in 1971 after working 44 years at Capitol National Bank and First National Bank. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her niece, Mrs. Frank (Gloria) Carter of Jackson.
