PHILADELPHIA -- Maggie Jewel Spears, 75, a homemaker, died Monday of respiratory failure in Anderson Hospital in Meridian.

Services are 2 p.m. today at McClain-Hays Funeral Home with burial in New Harmony Cemetery.

Mrs. Spears was a lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She was a member of New County Line Baptist Church.

Survivors include: husband, Syl; sons, Marvin Moore of Italy, Texas, Earl Spears of Lena and Timothy Spears of Philadelphia; daughters, Lurline Williams, Sue Wilcher and Nellie Crenshaw, all of Carthage, and Mary Williams of Harperville; brothers, Marshall Green of Bossier City, La., and Johnnie Green of Lewisburg, Tenn.; sister, Mae Kelly of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and 27 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
