Mrs. Beene's Funeral Set Here Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Mallie Beene, 72, of Mexia will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel.

Minister Hal Thacker of the Ross Avenue Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Glade Cemetery.

Born March 3, 1902 in Durant, Okla., Mrs. Beene died Tuesday afternoon at 5 in the Haven Nursing Home. She had lived most of her life in Limestone and Freestone counties and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Clawson of Grand Prairie; two sons, Leo Beene of Garland and Guy Beene of California; three brothers, Murdock Watson and Bill Watson, both of Mexia, and Alvin Watson of Corsicana; one sister, Kattie Stanfield; and nine grandchildren.
