Mallory “Mike” Francis Meyers
Mallory “Mike” Francis Meyers, an executive vice president of Vinson Securities Inc., died Friday of cancer at East Jefferson General Hospital. He was 64. Mr. Meyers was born in New Orleans and lived in River Ridge for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School. He was a Navy veteran. He was employed by the City of New Orleans Police Department for seven years starting in the K-9 Corps and also working with the Motorcycle Division. He was a member of American Society of Industrial Security, Office Building Association, past president of the National Council for Investigative and Security Services and a 32nd degree mason. He served on the board of Drugs Off The Street with the district attorney's office.
Survivors include his wife, Joan T. Meyers; three sons, Kenneth Eric, Michael and Keith Meyers; two daughters, Sherrie Meyers and Kim M. Licali; a brother, C.J. Meyers Jr.; a sister, Perlin M. Varenholt; and three grandchildren.
A Mass will be said Monday at noon at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 1.
