Mrs. Mamie Scruggs

CHATHAM (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Edna Scruggs, 55, of Chatham, were held at 2 p.m. today at Shady Grove Baptist Church near Jigger with the Rev. Jack Jones officiating.

Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Scruggs died early Sunday at an Alexandria hospital after a long illness.

Survivors include one daughters, Mrs. Vergie Wall of Jigger, her mother, Mrs. Etta Martin of Chatham, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
