Mrs. Mamie Tait Dies Following Lingering Illness

Mrs. Mamie Tait, 73 year old resident of Ruston for many years died at 1 a.m. March 7, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Sat at 3:30 p.m. at the Temple Baptist Church with the Dr. B. Gray Allison officiating. Burial will be at the Friendship Cemetery, Friendship, La., with Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston in charge.

Since the death of her husband, the late Dr. F. W. Tait, of Saline, she has made her home with her daughter Mrs. R. O. Sutton of Ruston.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R. O. Sutton, two sons, Aubrey Hood, C. L. Hood, both of Edna, Texas; three step-sons, Robert Tait of Jonesboro, Harold Tait, [illegible] Texas, and F. W. Tait, Jr of Burbank, Calif.; four brothers, De[n]mon Hall, Ruston, Lawson Hall, Ringgold, C. E. Hall, Cullin, Jesse Hall of Friendship. There are three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be all nephews of the departed. Honorary pallbearers will be all [illegible] of Temple Baptist Church.
