Mamie Lee Tumlison

Mrs. Mamie Lee Tumlison, 85, of Monroe, Louisiana, died Friday, March 08, 2013. Mrs. Tumlison was a native of Wisner, Louisiana; a resident of Monroe for a number of years and a former resident of Mabelvale and Hamburg. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church in Bauxite, Arkansas. She was an avid Square Dancer and loved traveling around the country camping.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, George E. Diamond in 1979 and James (Son) Tumlison in 2003 and her parents, Robert Miles & Johnnie McDaniel Barefield.

She is survived by four sons, Pat Diamond of Dallas, Texas, Bobby Diamond of Killeen, Texas, Rev. David Diamond of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Steve Diamond of Fort Worth, Texas; six brothers, J.B. Barefield of Jigger, Louisiana, Raymond Barefield of Troup, Texas, Carl Barefield and George Allen Barefield both of West Monroe, Louisiana, Russell Barefield of Bastrop, Louisiana and Robert Barefield of Troup, Texas; four sisters, Emma Glasscock of Jonesboro, Louisiana, Lottie Corbin of Monroe, Louisiana, Betty Peterson of Jackson, Louisiana and Lynn Newman of Monroe, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. David Diamond officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are George Barefield, Russell Barefield, Daniel Mora, Jonah Mora, Michael Diamond and Jeremy Diamond.
