Mamie Lee Gray

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Lee Gray, 85, were held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton. The Rev. Wilson Winstead and the Rev. Gary Strehlow, were the officiating ministers. Interment was made in the Cooperville Cemetery in Scott County.

Mrs. Gray died Monday at the Care Inn Nursing Home in Clinton, following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of the Cooperville Community in Scott County for most of her life, at Route 2, Pelahatchie. She was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church in Rankin County.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hoyt (Marie) Freeman, Jackson, and Mrs. Bernice Williams Smith, Georgetown; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Morris, Jackson, and Mrs. Letha Walker, Braxton; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Buddy Gray, Wayne Gray, Caley Gray, Jr., John Paul Gray, Perry Williams, and Jimmy Williams.
