Mamie Maurine Hawkins
Mamie Maurine Hawkins was called home on March 10, 2010 at 89 years of age.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Jim Westmoreland officiating. Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery at Hollis, Okla.
Maurine was born on Aug. 21, 1920 in Hollis, Okla., to James Delba and Lizzie Satcher. She married R. O. Hawkins on Nov. 6, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1991. Maurine retired from the Harmon County Court House where she served as Deputy Court Clerk for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hollis, Okla. She lived her whole life in Hollis, only moving to Lubbock, Texas a few years ago to be with her family.
Maurine is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bobo and her husband Vic of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Bobo and his wife Stacy, of Lubbock, Texas, Ryan Bobo and his wife Randi, of Meadow, Texas and Taryn Bobo of Austin, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Jaden Elizabeth Bobo and Kade Ryan Bobo, of Lubbock, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, John Delter Satcher.
A special thanks to Interim Hospice, specifically, Melissa, Pete, Sheryl, Alicia, Danny, and, most recently, Shayla for your love, care, and concern for both Maurine and her family and to the caring staff at The Bee Hive Assisted Living facility.
