JONES, MARGARET ANN HEFNER

Born March 6, 1945 in Dallas. Passed into our Lord's arms June 18, 2004 in Plano. Margaret grew up in Dallas, lived in Port Aransas late 50's (surviving Hunricane Carla), moved back to Dallas graduating from Hillcrest High in 1963. Attended North Texas University. When Ken and Margaret's fourth son started school, Margaret began a rewarding and successful 23-yr career in Special Education with the Carrollton/Farmers Branch, and then the Lewisville ISDs. Margaret was a survivor of a double mastectomy in 1995 so the diagnosis this past December of lung and adrenal gland cancer was truly devastating. She has fought a valiant battle of chemotherapy treatments while continuing to work full time as treatments allowed, taking early retirement in late May. As recent as three weeks ago her right arm was broken from bone cancer and then this past week stomach cancer. Her final wish to have her four sons with their families to be together for one last time was accomplished Sun June 13th.

Survived by her husband of 39 years, Ken R. Jones, Carrollton, sons and daughters-in-law John and Annette Jones and Johnny and Amanda Jones of Round Rock, TX, William and Alicia Jones (expecting the fifth Jones grandchild) of Ashburn, Virginia, Christopher and Lisa Jones and Megan and Payton Jones of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kenneth and Niya Jones of Round Rock, TX.
