Margaret Chaney

Margaret Dunn Chaney, born January 14, 1919, in Forest Hill, Louisiana, died in Houston, Texas, on April 10. She was 95 years old.
She graduated with the class of 1936 from Robert E. Lee High School in Goose Creek, Texas. In 1939 she graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her diploma as a registered nurse. After graduation she practiced nursing in numerous area hospitals and later worked as a research nurse at Baylor College of Medicine until her retirement in 1982. She and her family have been members of Westbury Baptist Church since 1964.
She was preceded in death by her husband and WWII veteran, A. Burt Chaney and a daughter, Jeanette C. Gordon. She was also preceded in death by a nephew Bill Enoch.
She is survived by a daughter Katherine Webre, a son Tom Chaney, a sister Glyn Enoch and brother-in-law Robert Enoch, nephews Glenn Enoch and his wife Tricia, Bart Enoch and wife Sandy and their beloved son, Dylan, who was the love of Margaret's life.
A Visitation will be between 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, in the sanctuary at Westbury Baptist Church, 10425 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas, 77096. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Graveside Services will follow at Forest Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, 77077.
