Margaret Katherine Duff Trinity Methodist member

Margaret Katherine Duff, 80, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Born Nov. 3, 1921, in Pleasant Hill, La., she was the daughter of Oscar and Mary Lou Anderson Emmons.

Mrs. Duff was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In earlier years she was an avid bowler. Her family said she loved to can food and cook.

She was the widow of Earl Duff, who died Sept. 3, 1998.

Mrs. Duff is survived by her son, Verdice Duff and his wife, Kathy, of Cookeville; her brother, Alton Emmons of Leesville, La.; two sisters, Ruth Bowman of Pleasant Hill, La., and Sarah Lewing of Mansfield, La.; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Duff and Matthew Duff, both of Cookeville.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by another brother, Fred Emmons.

The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Charles Mattson officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to Trinity United Methodist Church, 320 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

DUFF

DUFF, MARGARET KATHERINE - age 80, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday February 14, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by husband, Earl Duff on September 3, 1998, and by a brother, Fred Emmons.

Survived by her son, Verdice Duff and his wife, Kathy of Cookeville, Tenn.; brother, Alton Emmons of Leesville, La.; sisters, Ruth Bowman of Pleasant Hill, La., Sarah Lewing of Mansfield, La.; grandchildren, Kimberly Duff and Matthew Duff, both of Cookeville, Tenn.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 16, 2002, at Weatherford Mortuary at 8 p.m. with Dr. Charles Mattson officiating. The graveside services will be Sunday February 17, 2002, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park at 9:30 a.m.

The family requests that any memorials go to Trinity United Methodist Church, 320 Robertsville Rd., Oak Ridge, Tenn. 37830. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.
