Memorial Services for Mrs. Margaret Magee Griffing, 93 of Clinton, AR, formerly from Winnsboro was 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with Victor Cheeks officiating.

Mrs. Griffing was born August 6, 1918 in Franklin Parish near Wisner. She died January 11, 2012 in Clinton, AR. She married Dr. Asa Robert Griffing on December 11, 1943. She attended school in Winnsboro and Baskin where she graduated from Baskin High School. She was a beautician for many years in Winnsboro, and was owner of Margaret's Beauty Salon. She was a dedicated, baptized servant of Jehovah God for 39 years and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Clinton, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents-Thomas Kirby Magee and Sina McMahan Magee, husband-Asa Robert Griffing, DDS, daughters-Barbara Griffing Newman and Pamela Griffing Fischer.

She is survived by a daughter-Margaret Alcina Griffing Battenfield and husband Tom of Clinton, AR; grandsons-Robert Joseph Johnston and wife Kaylynn of White Hall, AR, Richard Carey Johnston of Little Rock, AR, Bryon O. Newman and wife Michelle of Garland, TX, W. Kyle Newman and wife Jodi of Rowlett, TX, and Patrick Collier and wife Sharon; granddaughters-Dawn Margaret Johnston McNeice of Little Rock, AR, Laurel (Lolly) Johnston Gunn and husband Zachary Taylor of Pine Bluff, AR; step grandchildren- Monika Baldree, Ricky Fischer, and Michael Battenfield; great grandchildren-Caitlin Margaret McNiece, Aaron Johnston, Adam Johnston, Madison Johnston, Maison Gunn, Noah Taylor, Zachary Newman, Madeline Newman, Haley Newman, London Newman, and Reese Newman; step great grandchildren-Nikki Mendez, Cylia Baldree, Stephanie Fischer Maxie, Anna Battenfield, and Selah Battenfield; and great grandson-Colton Maxie.

Mrs. Margaret M. Griffing 93, of Clinton, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Clinton, Arkansas. She was born August 6, 1918 at Franklin Parish, Louisiana to the late Thomas K. and Nancy Sina (McMahan) Magee.

She was a retired Beautician and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dr. Asa R. Griffing, two daughters, Barbara Griffing Newman and Pamela Griffing Fischer, two sisters, Wessie Herrington, Annie Magee, a brother John Magee.

She is survived by her daughter, Alcina Griffing Battenfield of Clinton, AR; three sisters, Lura and Warren Street, Maxine Walker, and Jennie Fay and Tom Jones all of the Dallas, Texas area, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses Little Rock, Arkansas.

Inurnment at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery Winnsboro, Louisiana.
