Margaret G. Barr

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Central Church of Christ Chapel, 1401 S. Monroe St., with Bob Crass officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Plainview Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.

Margaret was born May 11, 1929, in Purcell, Okla., to J.E. and Molly Miller. She taught second grade at Forest Hill School for 35 years.

She was associated with Meals on Wheels and helped at the Plemons Court Library. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Barr; a sister, Ada McBeth; a daughter, Janice Ford; a grandson, Vance Ford, in 1985; and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Tomes of Waxahachie and Patricia Matthews of Panhandle; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Meals on Wheels, 219 S.W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79101-2323.
