Funeral services for Margaret Ann ``Maggie'' Herring will be at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, September 1, 1999 in the First Baptist Church, Winnfield, LA.
Officiating will be Revs. James Simons, Kevin Womack and Tommy Hamms and
Dr. Calvin Phelps. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery, Sikes, LA
under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.
Miss Herring, 44 of Sikes, died Sunday, August 29, 1999 in the Winn
Parish Medical Center. She was a native of Sikes, LA and a graduate of
Sikes High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Northeast
University and Masters Degree from Northwestern State University. She
was a member of First United Methodist Church and was employed as a
teacher at Winnfield Senior High School and was a member of Delta Kappa
Gamma.
Survivors are her mother, Margaret ``Peggy'' Herring of Sikes, LA; brother
and sister-in-law, David and Becky Herring of Sikes, LA; step-brother
and sister-in-law, Tommy and Janice Comeaux of West Monroe, LA, nieces,
Katlyn and Caroline Herring of Sikes, LA; Alison, Ashley, and Abby
Comeaux of West Monroe, LA, Elizabeth Brown and Hunter Brown of
Sherwood, AR; Uncle James and Audie Simons of Winnfield, LA; Aunts,
Marion Ozment of Sherwood, AR and Frankie and Buddy Boswell of North
Little Rock, AR; cousins, Becky and Jay Brown and Kelly Ozment of
Sherwood, AR, Chris Boswell of North Little Rock, AR, Wendell Simons of
Olla, LA, Jason Pinkerton of Virginia, Earl, Carolyn and Tammy Vickers
all of Georgetown, LA and Tracy Vickers of Shreveport, LA, Cedria and
wife Teresa of Baton Rouge, LA and Hedy and Jim Pimberton of Colorado
Springs, CO, Gregory Simons, Ashley and Shannon Libsney and Brittney
Libsney all of Olla, LA; and two special children, Adrienne and Angeline
Acosta.
Memorials may be made to the Hebron Cemetery Fund, 593 H. Bustin Rd.,
Sikes, LA 71473.
Pallbearers are: Tommy Harrell Jr., Ronald Griffin, Jerry Erskins, Mike
Smith, Larry Willis, Stanley Martin, Bodie Little, and Chris Morgan.
Honorary Pallbearer is: Wayne Smith.
