Marguerite Statham

Marguerite S. Statham, 89, of McComb, died Dec. 24, 2007, at her residence.

Visitation is 9 a.m. Friday at J.J. White Memorial Presbyterian Church until services there at 11 a.m., with Bro. Charles Ray officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Statham was born May 27, 1918, in McComb. She was the daughter of E.J. and Mammie Ezell Schmidt.

She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of J.J. White Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Statham was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Boyd Statham; three sisters, Ruth S. Humphreys, Laura S. Malsburg and Mammie S. Smith; and two brothers, Emil J. Schmidt and Richard E. Schmidt.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Trudy Statham of McComb; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Milton McKay of Hendersonville, N.C., and Ann and Jimmy King of McComb; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles L. and Dorothy Schmidt of Grand Junction, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Scott King, Noelle McKay Vanne, Schyler McKay, Kate McKay Bukowski, Stacy Statham Wheeler, Mason Statham and Jake Statham; three great-grandchildren, Sagan King, Stella Vanne and Jude Vanne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mason Statham, Jake Statham, Tray Wheeler, Scott King, Brad Brumfield, Jimmy Robinson and Jasper Johnston.
