Funeral services for Mrs. Marian Antonieska Emmons, 88, of West Monroe, LA. will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, April 4, 2004 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Mike Haney officiating. Burial will be in the Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Emmons was born in Philadelphia, PA. She has lived in West Monroe with her husband and children since 1949.

She was a member of St. Paschal's Catholic Church, American Mothers Association and Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Emmons graduated from the Wilfred Beauty Academy in Philadelphia, PA and was a Beautician for 30 years.

Mrs. Emmons was an avid reader. Throughout her life she enjoyed many creative hobbies including: gardening, sewing, and later in life, painting.

Her paintings were exhibited at Glenwood Medical Mall to encourage patients to remain active.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel B. Emmons; children: Eileen Emmons Altenberg and sons-in-law: Al R. Altenberg, Daniel M. Emmons and daughters-in-law: Joyce Worley Emmons, Jennifer Emmons Bryan and son-in-law: Jeffrey W. Bryan; sister: Delores Olevinek; sisters-in-law: Helen Antonieska and Lily Antonieska.

Mrs. Emmons had six grandchildren: John Altenberg and his wife Beth, Robert Altenberg, Danny Ray Emmons, David Emmons and his wife Jackie, Joanna Bryan and Jeffrey Bryan; great-grandchildren include: Zack Altenberg, Seth Altenberg and Alison Emmons.

Pallbearers will be Al Altenberg, Jeff Bryan, Jeffrey Bryan, David Emmons, John Altenberg and Robert Altenberg.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 5, 2004 at St. Paschals Catholic Church in West Monroe.
