Marie Belle Wheat

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Funeral services for Marie Wheat, 71, will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside. Officiating will be Chaplain Durell Tuberville. Interment will follow in Forest Park West.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Marie was born August 31, 1936 in Lorena, MS to Lonnie and Ina Arinder. She passed away August 23, 2008 in Shreveport, LA. Marie was a cosmetologist and loved gardening, sewing, cooking and playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents, four sisters and three brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Garnett M. Wheat; sons, Frank L. Hardin, Bill Hardin and wife Carol, David W. Wheat and wife Janet; daughters, Sue Walker and husband Rob, Janelle M. Williams and husband Charles, Sena F. McWilliams and husband Mac, Kimberly M. Evans and husband Darin; stepchildren, Neva McClain, Patty Simpson, Joanie Buhler; brother, George Arinder; twenty-two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Wheat, Mac McWilliams, Charles Williams, Jay Pearce, Darin Evans and Dustin Wheat.
