Marie Carroll Seals
She was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Lakeland, Fla., and passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. ``Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.'' Hebrews 10:23-25.
Marie never met a stranger. She was full of grace and mercy, and demonstrated a profound interest in others. She loved her family and her friends, rejoicing in their successes, and comforting them through life's struggles. She taught us that family is important and people are important, and that the Lord wants us to let the people He places in our path know that they are of value to us and Him that their life matters. Thanks for demonstrating His love to us and others. Rest and rejoice in His presence. Marie was a lifetime member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. She belonged to the LaMousse Garden Club; was secretary of the Broadmoor Subdivision Association and a proud member of the Baton Rouge High Association.
Marie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert A. Seals Sr.; daughter, Jennie C. Seals; son, Robert A. Seals Jr. and wife Barbara, and their children, Joshua R. Seals, Rebekah L.
