Marie H. Bordelon

Services for Marie Herring Bordelon will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Alexandria, with the Rev. Jose Robles-Sanchez officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, under direction of John Kramer & Son.

Bordelon, 78, of Alexandria died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in her residence.

She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, the Sanctuary Society and the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital Auxiliary. She was a former employee of The Town Talk and the USDA. She was a Red Cross volunteer nurse during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Francis R. Bordelon of Vienna, Va., and Mark S. Bordelon of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mary Ellen Randall of Pineville and Celeste Bordelon of Bunkie; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A wake service will begin at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
