Marie Smith
(October 5, 1920 - May 27, 2006)

Services for Marie Smith will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ball, with Rev. Dub Carson and Clyde Grammon officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.

Mrs. Smith, 85, of Ball, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.

She was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church and was active with the Ball Senior Citizens Group.

Her husband, John R. Smith, Sr. and one son, James Ray Smith precede her in death.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include one son, John R. Smith, Jr. of Ball; one daughter, Carolyn Collins of Ball; one brother, Danny Ross Smith of Pineville; two sisters, Carrie Parsons of Victoria, Texas and Doris Putnam of Los Angeles, California; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Greg Collins, Chris Collins, Danny Smith, Kyle Grimes, Kendall Johnson, and John Lincecum.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Smith, Johnny Arrington, Paul Abrams, and Wesley Hromadka.

Friends may call from 5 until 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until shortly before time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.
