OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Marilyn Joyce Calhoun, age 77, of Gloster, Mississippi and formerly of Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be held at 10 AM on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Hill Baptist Church in the Hill Community north of Oak Grove.

Reverends Leslie Yates and Brian Malone officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Mrs. Calhoun passed away at Field Memorial Hospital in Centerville, Mississippi on Thursday, June 4, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Clayton Calhoun; and her parents, William Ratler James and Sarah Loraine Jordan James.

She is survived by her son, Waynon Calhoun of Augusta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jerry Jackson of Gloster, Mississippi; grandson, Zachary Calhoun of Augusta, Georgia; granddaughter, Brianna Calhoun of Augusta, Georgia; great grandchild, gabrial Narvaez of North Richland, Texas; great grandchild, Landen Sky Calhoun of Augusta, Georgia; granddaughter and her husband, Jesica and Steven McKenzie of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandson and his wife, Adam and Stacy Jackson of Brandon, Mississippi; great grandchild, Easton Jackson, of Brandon, Mississippi; sister, Beth Curry of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana.

Pallbearers are: Willie Aaron, Dwain Jordan, Jackie Underwood, Travis Hughes, James Jarnevic and Richard Calhoun.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at Hill Baptist Church near Oak Grove.
