Man Is Buried Wednesday

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday [f]or Andrew Strange, 63, of the Mt. Pleasant community, about seven miles west of Columbia, who died early Tuesday at his residence after several months of illness.

Services were held at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Dr. Wren M. Causey of Columbia and Rev. Lester Bounds, pastor of the church, officiating.

Burial was in the Mount Pleasant church cemetery, under direction of the Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Among the survivors include his widow, Mrs. Veteree Strange of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Robert, Melvin and James Strange, all of the Mt. Pleasant community; two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Hatten of Chatham and Mrs. Joyce Young of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Lou Tullos of Morrilton, Ark., and Mrs. Mildred Raynard of Mt. Pleasant, and ten grandch[i]ldren.
