Marion Fonda Sullivan

BATESVILLE -- Marion Fonda Sullivan, 92, died Monday, November, 30, 2009.

Services were Wednesday at Dickins Funeral Home. Dr. P.J. Scott of First Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Sumner Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Sullivan, born Dec. 8, 1916, to the late James Pascal and Minnie Elizabeth Slaughter Sullivan, was a carpenter. He joined the U.S. Army and fought from 1941 - 1945 earning many medals, badges and ribbons as a corporal in the Second Armored Division. He served first in North Africa and then in the European Theater until the very end of WWII.

Survivors include: his wife, Agnes Hill Kerr Sullivan; one step-daughter, Sylvia Kerr Sanders and her husband, Joe Sanders and his step-sons, John Kerr and Dennis Kerr.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
