Marion Henry Joiner, 84, died Friday, December 15, 2006, at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brandon. Visitation is today, 2-5 p.m. at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home in Pearl with burial at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Natchez.
Mr. Joiner was a member of the Baptist faith and retired from Fowler Buick as a body mechanic. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater. His hobbies included hunting and golf.
Survivors include: daughter, Betty Rhinehart and husband Frank of Natchez; nephew, Lee Thomas and wife Carol of Brandon; grandsons, Kavin Rhinehart of Natchez, Matthew and Michael Thomas of Brandon; great-grandchildren, Cody and Kristen Rhinehart of Natchez; brothers, Sidney Joiner and wife Margie of Pasadena, Texas, Bennie Joyner and Dale Joiner both of Pearl; sisters, Jewel Womack, Mildred Knight and Doris Ward all of Pearl, Bessie Jo Hodge and husband Dan of Utica; special friends, Merle Albritton and Woody Brumfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Alma G. Joiner and Ora Bell Joiner; parents, Sidney and Liddie Joiner; brother, Douglas Joiner; sisters, Berta Faye Tatum and Melba Jean Cooksey.
