Marion Otis Bazoon
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. -- Marion Otis Bazoon, 87, died May 10, 2006, at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Vicksburg, Miss., a son of the late Edgar and Thelma Wylie Bazoon.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery
Marion was a retired electric engineer for Gaston County. He also retired from Gaston County Police Department as a communication operator. He restored the radios and televisions that were used on the television series, Matlock. He also was a former member of the Carolina Cruisers Car Club of Bessemer City.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Linda B. Hopper of Daytona Beach; brother, Harry Vernon Bazoon of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Tod Hopper of Orlando, Fla., Dana Suzette Baldwin of Asheville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Brittney Baldwin of Asheville, N.C., and Jenna Hopper of Orlando, Fla.
