Marjorie Johnson Dunahoe
SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Mrs. Marjorie Johnson Dunahoe, 67, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 1994 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Fisk Ray, Minister to Senior Adults at Willow Point Baptist Church. Burial will be at Forest Park West.
Mrs. Dunahoe died Saturday, November 19, 1994 after a long illness. She was born in Gibsland, LA and was retired from Virginia Hall Nursing Home after a number of years service. She was a member of Willow Point Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Asa B. Dunahoe of Shreveport; two sons, Acey B. Dunahoe and wife, Celeste of Shreveport and Rev. Shawn Dunahoe and wife Gwen of Texarkana, TX; one daughter, Gail Arnette Paxton and husband, Kenneth of Bartlett, TN; two sisters, Dolores Cox of Bossier City, LA and Mignon Kurtz of Ruidoso, NM; one brother, Wesley H. Johnson, Jr. of Texarkana, TX; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Johnson, Michael Johnson, JoJo Garza, Robert L. Sasser, Richard Remedies and Gregory Garza.
Honorary pallbearers will be Herman H. Lunebring and Howard Porterfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Willis-Knighton Hospice Program. They would also like to express a special thanks to Dr. Melanie Frederick and Staff and to the Garza Family for their Love and Care.
