Mark Jones
Mark Jones passed away following a lengthy illness on Sept. 3, 2008. Born in Aurora, Colo. on Jan. 13, 1950, Mark was a 1968 graduate of Denison High School. In this early career years he was a D.J. and emcee for radio stations in El Paso, Austin, Dallas and Denison. He was known for his extensive collection of music and his love of fishing.
Later in life he realized a life-long dream of working in the medical profession when he went back to school and became a registered nurse. At Texoma Medical Center he was known for the compassion he showed his patients.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry and his grandparents.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; mother, Dena Jones; twin sister, Marilyn Kittelson and her husband Steve; older brothers, Richard and wife, Stephanie, Larry and wife, Judy; many loving nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, Larry Mathews and Ben Roberts; and his beloved pet Yorkie, Princess.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Denison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal humane society or St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
