M. O. Crain Of Port Arthur Is Buried At Sikes
Native of Winn Parish Succumbs Friday in Texas
Marshall O. Crain, 40 years of age, died suddenly of a heart attack at his
home in Port Arthur, Texas, Saturday, October 7, 1939. The remains were
brought to the family home near Sikes and funeral services were held in the
Sikes Baptist Church Sunday at 2 p.m., the Rev. T. J. Ratcliffe officiating.
Pallbearers were Roy Gaar, T. C. Kidd, C. F. Puckett, C. W. Puckett, Arnold
Sikes, and Ira White.
Surviving are his wife and two sons, Ross and Devane; father and mother, Mr.
and Mrs. R. W. Crain; four brothers, C. R. Crain of Monroe, E. C. Crain of
Garrison, Texas; M. J. and C. V. Crain of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. C. F.
Puckett of Pineville; Mrs. Roy Gaar of Gaars Mill; Mrs. R. J. Talbot, Mrs. E.
C. Monroe, Miss Bill Crain, all of Monroe, and Mrs. Hershel Kidd of Sikes.
