Mrs. S. C. Jones Expires Monday After Long Illness

Mrs. Martha Ann Grigsby Jones, age 83, died Monday, July 16, in the Lincoln General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Jones was a native of Clay and a member of Clay Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 18, at 4:30 in Spears Chapel with the Rev. A. H. Johnson, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Spears Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, S. C. Jones of Ruston; tow [sic two] sons, Harrell [sic Harold] L. Jones of Shreveport and Hoyt A. Jones of Bloomington, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Bridger of Ruston and Mrs. Nita Farrell of San Francisco, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
