Will of Martha Lee
In the name of God Amen. I, Martha Lee, of the State of North Carolina and Johnston County being of sound and perfect mind and memory Blessed be God and calling to mind the mortallity of the body this fifteenth day of June in the year of our Lord christ one thousand Eight hundred and Thirteen make publish Rattify Establish and ordain this and no other my Last Will and Testament.
First of all I recommend my soul and Body will be united and my body to the dust to be buryed in desent manner at the discression of my administrator or Executor hereafter to be Named and as Touching my worldy Estate that it hath pleased the almighty God to bless me with in this life I dispose of in manner and form following.
First of all my will is that all my just debts and funeral charges be satisfied and paid.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, Jesse Lee, five dollars to him and and heirs and assigns forever.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son, Joel Lee, one feather bed and bolsler and two sheets and one bedstead and cord to him and his heirs and assigns forever.
Item. I give and bequeath to my well beloved grandchildren, Josiah Sasser, David Sasser and William Sasser five dollars to be equally divided between them and their heirs forever.
Item. I give and bequeath to my well beloved son, Aaron Lee, one negro man named Frank, all my stock of every kind, two feather beds and furniture and bedstead and cord, one trunk and chest - one s[p]inning wheel, two wooling wheels, all my kitchen furniture, all any plantation tools and working instruments - of all kinds - all my wooden ware, all my cider and brandy casks full or empty, all my crop of every kind growing or housed standing in the field or hauled to the stack or any other place together with every thing that I possess except as above stated, to him and his heirs and assigns forever.
I do hereby make, constitute, appoint, establish and ordain my well beloved son Aaron Lee my executor of this my last will and testament.
