MRS. M. J. MAPLES

FERRIDAY, La., March 20. -- (Special) -- Funeral services were held in Manifest for Mrs. M. J. Maples, 74, of near Clayton who died after a stroke of paralysis. She was a member of the Baptist church for the past 57 years and was known and loved by many persons in the locality.

She is survived by her husband, W. M. [sic N. M.] Maples; seven daughters, Mrs. W. C. Horton, Clayton; Mrs. N. L. Fields, St. Joseph; Mrs. R. B. Tarver, Clayton; Mrs. W. P. Bishop, Clayton; Mrs. Jesse Reeves, Parksdale, Ark.; Mrs. J. E. Johnson, Clayton, and four sons, John Maples, Harrisonburg; Bert Maples, St. Joseph; Bullard Maples and Albert Maples of Clayton.
