Martha Mack Ezell

Martha Mack Ezell, 78, an elementary school teacher, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday in the Chapel of University Christian Church. Rev. Mike Evans and Dr. Alan Lobaugh will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Friday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to The Music Department of Texas Christian University or VITAS Hospice.

Martha Jane Hawkins Mack Ezell was born Sept. 15, 1927 in Fort Worth.

She taught for over 20 years in the Lubbock ISD and retired in 1975. She was a member of University Christian Church, the Texas Cowgirls Hall of Fame, the Texas Retired Teachers Association, and the Quillans Club and the Frog Club at TCU.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond DeElmont Mack and her sister, Varina Ulrickson.

Survivors include husband, Jeff Ezell; son, Stephen Mack of Johnson City, Tenn.; grandsons, David Mack of Johnson City, Tenn. and Landon Mack of Wichita Falls; Jeff's daughter, Lisa Michele Mangus of Fountain Hills, AZ; brother, William Hawkins of Fort Worth and nephews and nieces.
