Martha Burtram
Martha Julia ``Julie'' Burtram of Decatur died Sunday at her daughter's home in Decatur.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home.
Julie was born in Bibb County to Callie Joe Riley and Dicie Ann Champion Riley. She was the youngest of seven children and grew up in the West Blockton and Birmingham areas. She was a loving and devoted wife mother, and best friend. She will be missed dearly. She was a homemaker until her children left home, and then she worked at the Ramada Inn in Decatur for 10 years. She traveled the United States and several countries as a military wife before she and her husband made Decatur their home.
Julie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dennis B. Burtram; son, Randy Burtram and wife Karin; and daughter, Tami, all of Decatur; sisters-in-law, Orletta Riley of DeBary, Fla., Louise Riley of Cleburne, Texas, and Mildred Eden of Huntsville; grandsons, Mike Burtram of Illinois and Brad Burtram of Louisiana; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Hospice of the Valley, as well as to Julie's devoted caregiver Erika Palinas, who took very good care of her in the last
few months.
