Mrs. Whittington Rites Tuesday

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Baldwin Chapel for Mrs. A.W. Whittington, 75, of 3717 Didlake Drive who died Monday in a local Hospital.

Mrs. Whittington, a native of Simpson County, had lived in Jackson for the past twenty years. She was a member of Van Winkle Methodist church and her pastor Rev. W. S. Cameron will officiate at the services with Rev. Jim Shanahan and Rev. Jimmy Yarbrough assisting. Interment will be made in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Whittington is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Gober and Mrs. Jean Harvey of Jackson, Mrs. Lloyd Graham of Winnsboro, La. and Mrs. Bura Graham of Richton; four sons, C. L., Sam, Douglas, and Halbert Whittington all of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. K. A. Bridges and Mrs. Lena Mooney both of Delhi, La.; one brother, Plummer Kelly of Oak Grove La. Twenty six grandchildren and Fifteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Active pallbearers will be Cliff Hayman, Sam Whittington Jr., Ray Buckley, T. J. Brown, Willie D. Goodson and Charlie Daniel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. T. M. Moore, Dr. John Giaradano, Dr. R. A. Dunn, Dr. Eugene Thomas, Dr. William Dilworth, Leon Martin, Mike Holliday and Dr. Cecil Waelly.
