Martha Loried Crain
Funeral services for Martha Loried Mills Crain, age 86 of Grayson, will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 6, 2017 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Mrs. Crain was born on September 9, 1930 in Trout, LA to the union of her parents, Mick Mills and Eunice LaCroix Mills and passed from this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Citizens Medical Center, Columbia, LA.
Loried was a homemaker who attended Bellview Baptist Church. She will be remembered as being a great mother and grandmother. She was instantly loved by those she met and she was well loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Clarks Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harl Crain; son, Mike Crain; grandson, Todd Cooley; four brothers: Steve Mills, Bufford Mills, Clifford Mills and Brian Mills and her sister, Dorothy Rushing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Ann Fitzgerald of Columbia, Carol Durr and husband, Sam of Grand Cane and Ruth Albritton and husband, Keith of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Crain of Clarks; two brothers: Mickey Mills and wife, Wanda of Jonesville and Charles Mills and wife, Katherine of Jena; three sisters: Irene Elliott and husband, Norris of Jena; LaVerne Hopkins of Culman, AL and LaVerle McEntyre and husband, Van Dale of Vidalia; nine grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Crain, Preston Crain, Cole Black, Justin Henderson, Brian Jones and Bryan Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Bayley Brown, Lance Crain, John Durr, Grayson Bullock, Braxton Crain, James Crain, Garrett Whorton, Sam Durr, Blaine Henderson, Connor Stephens, Tanner Stephens and Cayden Perkins.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
At the conclusion of graveside services on Friday the family is inviting loved ones for food and fellowship at the Caldwell Parish Housing Authority.
