MRS. W. G. HICKS OF NESHOBA DIES
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 13. -- Funeral services for Mrs. W. G. Hicks, age 33, of the Hope community, Neshoba county, who passed away in a Meridian hospital following a brief illness, were held from the Hope church. Rev. Barham conducted the services. Interment followed in the Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks was taken to the hospital only a few days ago, and was found to have [a] ruptured appendix, which caused her death.
She, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Savell, was born and reared in the Hope community, where she had spent practically all her life.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three small children; three sisters, Mrs. Janie Lovern and Mrs. Dollie Mae Roberts, of Neshoba county, and Mrs. Maggie Matthews, Mena, Ark., and five brothers, Frank, Tom, Oliver and Sam Savell, all of Neshoba county, and Morgan Savell, of Carthage. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her untimely passing.
