Davidson, Martin J.
1924 - 2013

A native of Brooklyn, Martin J. Davidson was born in 1924. He was Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of North Texas and received his education at Alfred University, New York University and the University of Houston. His fields of interest lay in the economics of technological innovation and in innovative methods of petroleum exploration, primarily surface geochemical exploration.

He is survived by Patricia Davidson, his wife of 36 years, two children: Lisa Davidson of Portland, OR, Juli Davidson of Albuquerque, and three step-children: Elizabeth White, John Cookston and Philip Cookston of Dallas. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Sophie Bertelsen, Andy Bertelsen, Cory Bertelsen, Erin Davis, Jennifer Green, Lindsay White and Meredith Clark.

Martin Davidson lived in Dallas since 1967 and was a member of Temple Emanu-El. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 11 o'clock at Temple Emanu-El.
