Marvin L. Stevens

Funeral services for Mr. Marvin L. Stevens, 51, of Columbia, were held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 1998 at the Banks Springs Baptist Church in Columbia with Rev. Bobby Cruse and Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery west of Columbia under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Stevens was born in Monroe on April 20, 1946 to the union of John L. and Betty Cruse Stevens, and died Friday, January 23, 1998 at the LSU Medical Center in Monroe.

He was a machine operator.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Strange Stevens of Columbia; his sons, Kenneth Young, Carl Cornwell and Marvin Stevens, Jr., all of Columbia, Kevin Young, Sr. of Grayson and Charles Cornwell of Hebert; three brothers, Jackie Stevens of Jena, Bobby Stevens and Richard Stevens, both of Olla; and ten grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Steve May, Joe Strange, Rusty Hefner, and Bobby Joe Coburn.
