Marvin Walker

A religious service was held at 10 a.m. today at South Lafourche Baptist Church in Galliano for Marvin ‘Old Folks’ Walker, 75, a native of Winnfield and resident of Cut Off, who died at 1 p.m. March 6, 2000.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Galliano.

He was the husband of Doris Gisclair Walker; father of James Patrick Walker and Mary Walker Carrell; and brother of Bruce Walker. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Od[i]e Fox Walker; sons, Carl Lee and Johnny Marvin Walker; brothers, Bobby and Johnny Walker; and sisters, Edith Hammick, Sybil and Lurleen Walker.

He was Baptist.

He enjoyed gardening.

Samart Funeral Home of Cut Off was in charge of arrangements.
