Mary Alice Ellis
A homemaker and a 50-year resident of Baker, she passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007, at her home with her family at her side. She was 80 and a native of Batchelor. A former employee of The Baker Observer, she touched many lives through her involvement with the Boy Scouts and her attendance at First United Methodist Church of Baker, where she was a member and officer of the UMW.
She leaves behind a large, loving family, including sons, John, Matthew and Pat; grandchildren, Krista, Wesley, Paul, Gus, Maria Allana, Liz and Alex; six great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and numerous other relatives and close friends whom she loved. She was family to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ellis; son, David Ellis; brother, Lloyd Lafield; and parents, George Edward and Eunice Lafield. Visitation at First United Methodist Church of Baker, 1255 Camelia Ave., Baker, on Friday, May 25, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m.
Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
