MARY A. HISERMAN

Mary Alice McDaniel Hiserman, 62, of Modesto died of natural causes Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Hiserman was a native of Columbia, Miss. She lived in Modesto for 18 years. She was a records clerk for Modesto Junior College for 16 years and had also been a professional vocalist. She sang for President Gerald Ford and former California Lt. Gov. Mike Curb. She also had sung in various big bands and at The Palladium in Hollywood. She was a member of Modesto 7th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Relief Society.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Hiserman of Modesto; children, Catherine Stephanie Hiserman, Rita Susanne Hiserman, Paige Kathleen Hiserman, William Sam Hiserman Jr., all of Modesto, and Lawrence Merrill Hiserman of San Bruno; brother, Charles Benton McDaniel of Columbia, Miss.; sisters, Charlotte M. Dockins of Southgate and Emma Jean Lobes [sic Lopes] of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sylvan Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Eaton Family Funeral Home.
