Mary Alice ``Dot'' Lillis

LILLIS Mary Alice Lillis ``Dot'', 69 years old, of Hurley, MS, entered eternal life Monday, January 12, 2009, at a local health care facility surrounded by her loving family.

Dot was born on April 23, 1939, in Neshoba County, MS to the late Buford and Ola Mae Savell; and was a resident of the Gulf Coast area since 1962. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, but her primary ``hobby'' was her family and friends. She was a member of the Antique Angels, a senior citizens group at the Hurley Community Center, where she was in charge of food preparation.

Dot is survived by her devoted husband of 52-years, James ``Bud'' Lillis, of Hurley, MS. Three loving sons, James ``Tony'' Lillis and his wife Cara, of Hurley; Michael ``Mike'' Lillis and his wife Beth, of Helena, MS; and James ``Bo'' Lillis and his wife Lisa, of Agricola, MS. Two sisters, Jean Fryery and her husband Harvey, of Florence, MS; and Anne Smith and her husband Wayne, of Semmes, AL. Eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held from the Chapel of Coastal Funeral Home, Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm, with Brother Don Edeker of New Horizon Ministries officiating. Entombment will follow in The Good Shepherd Mausoleum of Serene Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8pm, Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
