Funeral Services Held At Jonesboro Today for Mrs. Mary Davis

JONESBORO (Special) -- A 96-year-old great-great-grandmother died here early yesterday leaving behind 150 survivors.

She was Mrs. Mary V. Davis, a resident of Clay, near Jonesboro for the past 70 years, and a life-long resident of Jackson Parish.

Services were held today at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Clay, and interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, E. M. Davis, Clay, and C. A. Davis, Natchitoches; seven daughters, Mrs. Leola Moore, and Mrs. Florence Moore, both of Timpson, Texas; Mrs. Bertha Thomason [sic Thompson], San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Eunice Hawkins, Shreveport; Mrs. Willie Carr, and Mrs. Gladys Hart both of Clay; Mrs. Frances Sullivan, Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Viola Cockron [sic Cockerham], Waxahachie, Texas; 41 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
