Mrs. Mary E. Mims Died Last Night

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Clark Mims, 72, died at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital last tnight [sic night] at 9 o'clock.

Services will be held this afternoon at 4 at Valley Hill Methodist church with the Rev. W. B. Baker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Williams and Lord in charge.

Mrs. Mims had been making her home here with her daughter, Mrs. L. A. Lackey. She was an active member of the Valley Hill Methodist Church. Mrs. Mims was the widow of the late G. W. Mims.

She leaves seven daughters and seven sons: Mrs. S. N. Harrison, Eupora; Mrs. Dent Goss, Mrs. L. A. Lackey, Mrs. L. M. Duggan, Mrs. Guy Jones, Mrs. Sam Garrard, all of Greenwood; Mrs. H. Y. Corn, Bobbitt, Nevada; W. G. Mims, Helena, Ark.; L. L. Mims, R. A. Mims, J. A. Mims, Rev. Alfred Mims, all of Greenwood; G. W. Mims, Wickenburg, Arizona, and John W. Mims, Xenia, Ohio.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Douglas Mims, Crawford Mims, Roy Harrison, Loye Harrison, Guy Jones Jr., and Lyman Lackey.
