BOSWORTH

Mrs. Mary Catherine Rayner Bosworth, 80, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, in Pascagoula. She was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Bay Springs, Miss. Mrs. Bosworth worked as a cafeteria manager for the Pascagoula School System and more recently as a home health caregiver. She was active until 2005 with her husband as an election official and was currently working as a volunteer for The Blessing Place, a local Hurricane Katrina relief organization. Over the years, she won many awards for her preserves at the Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair and spent most of her free time at home working in her garden and growing flowers. Mrs. Bosworth was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula where she worked as church hostess for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. George W. and Mrs. Emma Jane Phillips Rayner; her husband of 63 years, Mr. George Case Bosworth; two brothers, Walter and Willie Rayner and four sisters, Mildred Johnson, Beatrice Lovett, Macie Flynt and Mary Lois Rayner.

Mrs. Bosworth is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Robert Odom of Plano, Texas, and Mary Beth and Roy Dees of Mobile, Ala.; two sons and daughters-in-law, George Edwin and Althea Bosworth of Alachua, Fla., and Charles and Vivian Bosworth of Wiggins, Miss.; one brother, George Rayner of Laurel, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Odom, Richard Odom, Ish Bosworth, Pandava Bosworth, Matthew Dees, Brittanie Ingram, Jason Ingram, Trey Bosworth and Troy Kleinman. One great-grandchild, Kinnara Bosworth, a lifelong, dear friend, Mrs. Glynn Reeves of Moss Point and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, April 28, 2006, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Dr. Rex Yancey officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.

Mrs. Bosworth's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
