Mary Doris Reihle (Baldwin) born August 25, 1925 passed away October 18, 2013 at the Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Reihle, one great granddaughter, Josalyn, and is survived by two brothers, John Russell Baldwin and Claude Lamar Baldwin (Punk) both of Raleigh, MS, and her aunt Eunice Waddel of Clinton. Her surviving children are James E. Reihle living in Ohio, Paul and Donald Reihle of Brandon, and her daughter Dorothy Reihle of Jackson. She also leaves nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Doris was a native of Raleigh and like many war time brides met her husband while he was in the Army and stationed in Jackson. Moving to Iowa she was active in the Catholic Church, running the family grocery store and small business, Cub Scout Den Mother, and American Legion. Eventually she returned to her roots in Mississippi where she will be remembered as a wonderful mom and a compassionate person. She was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Her life is defined as her wishes in death; in lieu of flowers, please do something for your family or neighbors.
