Mrs. B. M. C. Taunton Is Victim of Death After Long Illness.

One of the county's most beloved women was called to the great beyond in the passing of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bone Taunton, the devoted compan[i]on of Mr. B. M. C. Taunton, on Sunday last following an illness of more than a year.

Mrs. Taunton was 81 years of age on June 24th last and had been a resident of the county for more than 60 years. She was born in Randolph county, her parents being the late Mr. Willis and Mrs. Sarah Bone.

Since early childhood, Mrs. Taunton has been a consistent member of the Missionary Baptist church, her membership being at Mt. Pisgah where funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. T. Adams, were held Tuesday.

Mrs. Taunton is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. J. E. Cox, of LaGrange; Mrs. B. C. Collins, of Ft. Valley; Mrs. L. D. Shirah, of Ideal; Mr. A. J. Taunton, of Miami, Fla.; Messrs W. A., W. E. and G. N. Taunton, of this county, besides a large number of grandchildren and great grand children.
